This half-term's class novel is 'Norse Myths: Tales of Odin, Thor and Loki by Kevin Crossley-Holland. 

For our class poem this half-term, we will be learning and singing 'Over the Rainbow' from the Wizard of Oz.  I chose this to link it to Viking mythology and the rainbow that connects Asgard and Midgard.
