Leeds United Foundation: Role Models and Positive Choices
20.2.2024
Today, Year 6 were visited by the Leeds United Foundation for a workshop on making the right choices. Children learnt about and discussed risks associated with antisocial behaviour, gangs, knife crime and social media. The session was very informative and delivered at an age appropriate level. Children discussed scenarios, learnt who to tell if they see or hear anything linked to these subjects and heard from role models on how important it is to make positive choices.
Leeds Inner North-East Youth Summit
7.3.24
Today some of the children in year 5 and 6 had the opportunity to visit the Civic hall in town for the Leeds Inner North-East Youth Summit. The children had the opportunity to learn about how the council works and what services it provides. Additionally, they had the opportunity to speak to councillors and ask them some challenging questions. It was great to see how democracy works in our own city.
