Show and Tell
In Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children have a half termly theme which their showing is around. Children are then invited to stand up in front of their class and are given the opportunity to speak with confidence. This can be adapted to smaller groups, should children need to build up to speaking in front of a whole class. They are supported to speak clearly and articulately, using their body language to ensure that everyone in the audience can hear and see what they are showing. It's often a wonderful opportunity for children to try out new language that is specific to describing their showing. It's a time of the week that we all look forward to!
