Our work this week, either in school or remotely, has been based upon the book 'The Smeds and the Smoos' by Julia Donaldson. Today we were thinking about the celebrations families normally have when a new baby is born. We imagined we would be hosting a purple party for the baby Smed Smoo and we discussed the different purple food we could make. The children learnt to spread the alien berry slime onto a slice of bread using a knife. They then practised slicing the sandwich into either halves or quarters. Of course, the best bit was enjoying eating the food at the end!
