World Book Day
So much fun was had in Reception class today! We have been exploring lots of Julia Donaldson books this week and have particularly enjoyed The Smeds and the Smoos. Today the children explored colour mixing to represent Janet and Bill’s purple Smoo-Smed baby by blow painting, making purple milk by mixing strawberries and blueberries and discussing where on the Eatwell Plate our ingredients were (links to our Keeping Safe and Healthy topic) as well as lots of story sharing and other fun activities. The children loved sharing their favourite books with their classmates and talking about their favourite characters and favourite parts of their books from home.
