World Book Day
Today we had a fun packed day celebrating World Book Day. Year 3 made a huge effort with their costumes and look fabulous!
All of the children had the opportunity to tell the class who they had come as, which book they were from and why they had chosen that character. It was really nice to get an insight into the variety of books enjoyed by Year 3 who are definitely a class of readers and truly appreciate the importance of reading.
We joined in with a special BBC live assembly rewriting our favourite stories. We re-designed the cover of our favourite books and created character descriptions of our favourite literary characters.
Many of the class created their own ‘Through the Wardrobe pictures which, as you can see, are amazing. We also had the opportunity to drop everything and read and we ended our day watching The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
