What a day!
The children arrived at school looking amazing in their costumes and we started off the day by creating a human library. Many of the class stood at the front and told us all about their characters, it was really nice to see how knowledgeable they all were about their characters and books.
We joined a BBC live lesson and it was fun to begin re-imagining some of our favourite stories.
In the afternoon we did lots of fun activities; diary entries, bookmark making, superhero designing, creating book covers, and more! The children were so involved and it was lovely to see the great work they were producing. We also had a lot of fun creating 'Hobbit hole' doors that opened up to The Shire.. a lovely link to some of the work we will be doing later in the term.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
