The Night Pirates

We have been exploring the fiction book, The Night Pirates by Peter Harris and Deborah Allwright for the last few weeks. The children have created a class story map and individual story maps to help them to retell the story and to develop their story telling language. Today the children got into the role of the main character Tom, pretending that they were telling his mum about the adventure he had in the night. The children thoroughly enjoyed working in small groups to do this collaboratively.
