Summer Detectives
To kick start our “Where in the world shall we go?” Topic, we have been exploring seasonal changes here in Leeds. We searched for signs of summer in our local park and surrounding areas and took photos of all the things we saw and compared it to our autumn, winter and spring walks. Take a look at the photos of our summer discoveries, which included lots of brightly coloured flowers, trees, weeds and plants, washing out drying on people’s washing lines, people in thinner clothes, bees and other insects, blue (ish) skin, sunshine and we even spoke to a local resident who was in the allotments and kindly chatted to us about the vegetables she was growing and why she grew them this time of year.
