In Summer 2 we will be learning about....

In Writing we will be creating an adventure story based on the book 'The Great Explorer' by Chris Judge.  

In Maths, we will be focusing on statistics and position and direction.

In RE, we will be learning about the 'good news' that Jesus brings.

In Science, we will learning about how animals and humans grow and survive. 

In Geography, we will learning about coastal locations and look forward to our trip to Scarborough.

In PSHE, our focus will be drug, tobacco and alcohol education.

In PE, we will be developing our team building skills and focusing on health and wellbeing. 

In Computing, we will be designing algorithms and programs to make an interactive quiz.

In Music, we will be leaning to sing 'the four white horses' and accompany this will glockenspiels.

In Art, we will be creating clay houses.

In French, we will be learning vocabulary associated with colours. 

Our Oracy focus is 'My favourite animal'. Please see an e-mail sent to parents for further information regarding this, including the week your child can bring in a showing.

Sing a Song of Sixpence 

Sing a song of sixpence a pocket full of rye,
Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened the birds began to sing,
Oh wasn't that a dainty dish to set before the king?

The king was in his counting house counting out his money,
The queen was in the parlour eating bread and honey
The maid was in the garden hanging out the clothes,
When down came a blackbird and pecked off her nose!
