In Writing, we will begin the half term by writing an exciting setting description for a mystery story based on our class read 'Flat Stanley: The Great Egyptian Grave Robbery.  Following that, we will create a persuasive advert for a sweet treat, using our written skills of persuasion to sell our product! 

In Oracy, we will be refining our speaking skills through a series of weekly debates. 

In Maths, we will be focusing on multiplication and division, length and perimeter. 

In RE we will be learning about The People of God and discussing what it is like to follow God. 
 

In Geography we will be looking at France, specifically Paris. We will compare the human and physical characteristics of both Paris and Leeds and create a brochure to answer our topic question 'Why visit Paris?'

In Science, we will be learning about Animals including Humans. We will be focussing on nutrition, food groups, skeletons and muscles. 

In Art, we will explore different watercolour techniques and create a watercolour landscape based on Meanwood Park. 

In French, we will discover Saints days, how Epiphany is celebrated, the colours and looking at the oi and eu letter strings.
 

In PSHE we will looking at Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing. We will focus on celebrating our strengths and coping with challenges. 

In PE and Games  we will be working together to hone our teamwork and problem solving skills. We will also be improving our ball skills in netball 

In Music, we will be composing using our imagination and creating compositions and improvising. 

Knowledge Organisers should be used to support your child throughout the topic being covered. They provide end points which is the knowledge that children will gain from this unit of work. They also show the learning that has taken place before and how this will link to future learning. Children will use these both in school and at home to supplement their learning, allowing us to work collaboratively together.
