We had the most wonderful (and educational) time when we visited Murton Park for our Prehistory Day. Greeted by Sabretooth, our guide for the day, after a brief history of humankind, we were initiated into the Blood Tribe and quickly put to work around the settlement. Children enjoyed crafting clay beakers, hoeing the fields and milling flour using stone age tools as well as hunting their dinner and researching different artifacts. The day ended with a guided tour and very informative lesson in leather making (ask your children!) before gathering round the fire in Sabretooth's hut to listen to a stone age murder mystery. An absolutely fantastic day was had by all, children (and helpers) really made the most of this amazing opportunity and were impeccably well behaved.
