Pre History Day At Murton Park

We had the most wonderful (and educational) time when we visited Murton Park for our Prehistory Day. Greeted by Wolf, our guide for the day, after a brief history of pre historic times, we were initiated into the Lightning tribe and quickly put to work around the settlement. Children enjoyed crafting clay beakers, weaving and milling flour using stone age tools as well as hunting their dinner and researching different artifacts. The day ended with a guided tour of the animals and cave painting  before gathering round the fire in Wolf's house to listen to a stone age murder mystery. An absolutely fantastic day was had by all, children (and helpers) really made the most of this amazing opportunity and were impeccably well behaved.
