Murton Park Roman Day

What a fantastic day was had by all at Murton Park! From the moment we arrived until we set off back to Meanwood, it was exciting, informative and fun packed.  Our Centurion for the day led us to the Roman fort where all the children had their own barracks.  We found out about how the Celts were taken over by the Romans and how a Celt would become a Roman soldier.  During the day, the children trained as Roman soldiers, learned about the history and the extent of the Roman Empire and the art of the Testudo formation.
