History- Maya Hot Chocolate

After learning about the importance of farming in Maya society as well common ingredients we rewarded ourselves with a Maya Hot Chocolate. Only the rich and noble members of Maya society drank this chocolatey treat. We all tired it to see if we appreciated its rich, wholesome flavour. It came with mixed reviews... Toxic, delicious, horrible, spicy and unbelievable were a few choice comments. The chilli and cinnamon really gave it a kick! A great afternoon and a wonderful way to find out about the origins of this popular drink.
