Maths: Measuring Capacity
We learned to measure capacity and volume by making potions! Working in groups children made their potion by following a recipe which required very careful measuring of cupfuls of different coloured liquids. We then discussed the volume of the potion in each bottle. Children had lots of fun measuring volume and then added sprinkles of glitter too finish their creation. We ended the lesson by mixing all the colours together to make a class potion and children found it interesting to see the different colours we created.
