Literacy - Writing Instructions For a Robotic Visitor
Year 3 kickstarted their work on instruction writing with a visit from a much more robotic Mr Martin. The children had to instruct him to make a sandwich step by step. It was much tricker than they first thought however they quickly learnt to use imperative verbs, time openers and to make sure the instructions were clear, chronological and precise. Year 3 then used these skills to give each other instructions to draw different unknown pictures without the other group members seeing.
