Health & Wellbeing Day

Year 5 had a wonderful day learning about the importance of not only keeping their bodies healthy but their minds too. The day started with a mindfulness meditation workshop. During this session the children drew diagrams of their brains, developed strategies to keep calm, sung, danced and spent time focusing on breathing and meditating. This was followed by a Pom-Pom making workshop. The children LOVED this and it was amazing to see how calming it is to distract our minds by focusing on something specific. Their creations were fantastic! We ended the day with a yoga session where children learnt how to focus on their body, mind and breath. Overall it was a very relaxing and fun day across school!
