In Autumn 1, we are learning.....

In Writing we will be consolidating our sentence writing by planning and writing an opening and build up from the famous story, The BFG. We will then be writing a fossils instruction text that will be supported by our work on 'Rocks and Soils'.

In Maths, we will be focusing on Place Value (up to 1000), learning to read, write and partition numbers to 1000 as well as positioning them on a number line. We will also be continuing our work on addition and subtraction.

In RE we will be learning about Hinduism and the many Gods and Goddesses.

In Geography, we will be learning about the Leeds and comparing it to the local area of Meanwood with regards to human and physical features..

In Science, we will be learning about the different rocks and soils, how they are formed and their properties.

In PSHE, we will be learning about 'Identity, Society and Equality.

In PE, we will be learning the skills required to play Football and Netball

In Computing, we will be learning about internet technology in digital literacy.

In French, we will be introducing ourselves, counting to 10 and focussing in on our pronunciation of key phonemes j, eu, and on. 

In Music, we will be writing down music using rhythm and pitch and begin to learn how they can be represented with symbols. We will also be introduced to crochets and minims.
