The importance of using soap to wash our hands
Today the children were shown how important it is to use soap to wash your hands. Mrs Parker put black pepper into a bowl of warm water. We pretended the black pepper was germs, and although we can not see germs, it was interesting to see how quickly the black pepper spread on our fingers and onto things that we touched e.g. objects or faces. When Mrs Parker put soap on our finger tip and we submerged it into the water, the soap repelled the germs (black pepper). Once again we reiterated how important it is to be regularly washing our hands thoroughly at this time.
