Eight children (Nico Reid, Nick Sinclair, Ewan Baker, Leon Jones, Liliy-Maya Hooper, Kayla Mutebuka, Alexander Stephenson, Joshua Bright) were taken to represent the school for the local area stage of the road to Wembley tournament, finishing second overall and advancing to the city qualifier where they will face off against other top teams across the city.
All children put in incredible performances in what was an extremely cold and wet affair. Comfortably winning the group stage and advancing into the semi-finals. In the semis much tougher opposition were faced and would have gone to extra time but for a well struck penalty from Nico Reid.
In the final against Immaculate Heart the children gave it their all but unfortunately weren't able to get the result.
The top two teams made it through to the city finals with the chance to progress to the regional qualifier. The children will also receive a well earned trip to Leeds United's training ground for a whole day of training by the Leeds united coaches themselves.
