Jack and the Beanstalk
As part of our topic work 'Why are farms important?' we began the week by reading 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. The children have spent the week talking about the story and re-telling the story on our outside stage. We are also going to be writing the story and have begun to think about story openers. This morning a beanstalk had miraculously grown in our classroom and above it hung a huge letter from the Giant. Children have spent time writing a letter back to the Giant trying to cheer him up.
