On the 17th December, Year 5 went to Armley Mills as part of their topic on the Victorians. They visited the Victorian Schoolroom where they studied reading, writing, and arithmetic then undertook excercises. The teacher recommended the children with good handwriting for jobs as clerks at the mill. In the afternoon, the children learned about how the Victorians celebrated christmas and made Victorian christmas cards. Finally, there was fun to be had playing Victorian games. Here are the pictures of the day.
