Temple Newsam House

Year 1 had a wonderful trip to Temple Newsam House to learn a little more about its Royal Tudor owner - Elizabeth 1. The children made their own royal crowns and practised their royal waves, before exploring the house and some of the objects used in Elizabethan times. The children had tremendous fun  - they were so enthusiastic and well behaved and they were an absolute credit to the school. Our workshop leader, Nicky, told us that the class knew more about the topic than the Year 6 classes from other schools who had visited the school previously! A huge thank you to the staff at Temple Newsam  and our staff and volunteers here in school for helping to make the day such as success.
