What a super day with Year 1 at Temple Newsam House! I am so immensely proud of all the children - their behaviour was impeccable and they were so interested in everything they encountered today, from Tudor bedrooms and Elizabethan girls' (and boys'!) dresses to a cloth dyer's 'wee pot' and the 'genuine' smell of a Tudor street! Huge thanks must go to Diane and Debbie from TN House for their hard work today, and also to all the school staff, volunteer helpers and parent drivers who did such a sterling job transporting children and helping with the visit. For half the class, this was our first trip in the mini bus too, and what an excellent chauffeur we had in Mrs Butterfield!
