Teddy Bear's Picnic Fund Raiser

Reception Class hosted a teddy bear's picnic for parents, friends and family to attend. The children made their own invitations, applying their newly learnt phonics skills and made all of the sandwiches for themselves and for their guests. We sold tickets to the event and hosted fund raising games at the picnic to raise money for St Gemma's hosipice. St Gemma’s Hospice, in Leeds, is the largest hospice in Yorkshire and one of the largest in England. St Gemma's provide care and support for local people with cancer and other life threatening illnesses and their families. The children's efforts paid off and we raised £115! We would like to say a huge thank you to all that attended the event, for your generosity and for making this such a fantastic day for the children. Take a look at some of our photos.
