Reading Afternoon
Reception class had a wonderful 'reading afternoon' where we brought in our favourite book from home and shared it with our friends. We learnt to locate the title of our book, to find the author and illustrator's name as well as where to find the blurb. We read a blurb and understood it's purpose was to give us a little bit of information about what the book is about. The blurb of Brooke's book certainly made us want to read it! We split into our house teams and had a quiz where we had to name different characters from books. Every house scored 9 out of 10 with Tabby McTat being the only character that all groups were unable to recognise. Dressing up in our pyjamas made the afternoon really fun, snuggly and cosy... we even went home in them!
