'Location, Location, Location': Year 4 Geography Projects

To celebrate the culmination of the Geographical feast, which was our latest class project, Year  4 took part in a  rigorous boardroom process which sought to identify a new business venture for Leeds City Centre. With all the entrepreneurial spirit and teamwork skills befitting Lord Sugar's Apprentice, Year 4 took part in a group project with the aim of identifying a gap in the commercial market of Leeds City Centre. Through carrying out market research and sketch-mapping areas of the city centre, the class decided upon business proposals which they then put forward as persuasive adverts to the potential investors of Year 3. The audience was mesmerised as they listened intently to ideas that would revolutionise the city centre: a family-friendly restaurant in the Trinity Centre where the customers could enjoy a game of bingo with their food (aptly named 'Bingo); a toy shop/ café located on Briggate which was supported by it's logo featuring an elephant and a cup of coffee as, "You will never forget our shop just as elephants never forget"; and a gargantuan sport facility business located in the Merrion Centre.
