We have thoroughly enjoyed this half term's history work on Elizabeth I and the Tudors. Many thanks to Shelley and Julie at Temple Newsam House, who taught us so much about Tudor life during our visit there. We now know why the Tudors carried pomanders around with them, having sniffed a recreated 'smelly Tudor person' smellpot! Thanks also to our adult helpers who helped make the day such a success. The children's enjoyment and enthusiasm for this topic has been a pleasure to see and I am very proud of their learning achievements. We celebrated our progress and success in true style with a Tudor dress up afternoon and quiz - well done to all!
